The Sociology club is an organization consisting of Hunter College students interested in issues pertinent to sociology.  The club organizes and sponsors events to benefit its members (e.g. graduate school workshops and presentations), Hunter College (e.g. guest speakers and social events), and the larger society (e.g. volunteer work and donations).  All Hunter College students (and especially Sociology majors ) are encouraged to join our club. 

Sociology is the second largest major at Hunter.  Within our membership, we are proud to include students of different ages, races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and physical abilities.  The club is a great way to become more involved in the Hunter experience with students who share similar interests.

Becoming an active member provides hands on experience with working with people and participating in extra curricular activities.  These skills are very necessary and participation will help build your resume for graduate school or employment.
