USA Softball

The United States Softball League has won consecutive gold medal during the Olympic Games since 1996.  The 2004 Olympic team lead by lengendary veteran Lisa Fernandez displayed an outstanding performance with an undefeated record in Athens, Greece. Jennie Finch, Cat Osterman, Tairia Mims, Jessica Mendoza and Lovie Jung are among the few to have incredible performances throughout the Games.  Each player has specific roles in the team effort for a medal.  The Olympic team is currently in the process of recruiting for the 2008 Olympics.  Unfortunately Softball has been removed from the 2012 Olympics.  The Softball organizations are trying to appeal the decision to have the game reentered into the Olympics.
