African art is BEAUTIFUL!!!. I
grew up with art around my surroundings mainly because of my uncle, Olu
Amoda who is featured in the picture above. He is a Metal Sculptist
known in many parts of the world and has had many exhibtions in
Countries like South Africa, Austrilia,and United Kingdom. From a very
young age, he got me into drawing and so through that I learnt to
appreciate the hard work and skillsmanship of Artists. Art represents
Culture and Traditions and in Nigeria, (were I am from) alot of famous
pieces come from certain states such as Benin City and Ogun State. The
"Iyoba" piece is from Benin City and it represents the head of the
Queen Mother. It is made from Iron, Ivory and Copper. I hope from this
