American acting techniques are relatively new and unique when compared
to the rest of the worlds.  Japan, for instance has developed their N'oh
theatre over many centuries.  The primary focus of theatrical training in
the United States is "Method" derivative.  The Method was introduced
by Constantin Stanislavski in Russia, and then students of his, like Lee Strasberg
and Hagen brought it over to the United States.  Some of the greatest actors
that The U.S. Has ever had are Method Actors, like Marlon Brando, Paul
Newman, Robert DeNiro Ellen Burstyn and the list goes on....
