Chabad of Hunter College Student Club
Lunch and Learn
Please
join our weekly meetings on Thursday at 12:00 to 1:30 pm.
The Chabad Student Club conducts meetings and programs open to all to discuss, share and experience how all the parts of the Torah and its laws and commandments bring meaning, serenity and joy into our daily lives. The Chabad Student Club hopes to a) bring more understanding and tolerance into the Hunter College community; b) Serve the Hunter College community as a resource for acts of goodness and kindness (mitzvoth). The Chabad of Hunter College Student Club promotes the teachings of the one Torah given to the Jewish people as illuminated by the Chabad-Lubavitch philosophy, founded in 1772. This philosophy is based on the Kabalah and particularly Chasidut - the teachings of Rabbi Yisroel Baal Shem Tov (1698-1760). Chasidut teaches how to be a better person by studying the divine knowledge of the Torah; serving the Creator with happiness; and doing acts of kindness. MISSION: The mission of the Chabad Student Club is to study Torah with wisdom, understanding and knowledge.
