LATINO HONOR SOCIETY E-BOARD POSITION DESCRIPTIONS
The members that agree to take these positions should have the following qualities: responsible, extremely organized, efficient, have initiative and be good team players.
All positions will need volunteers to help out when activities are being planned, but as “owner” of a position the person is in charge of getting his/her helpers together.
If the job is accomplished properly the position will count as fulfillment of the activity participation initiation requirement.
E-board meetings will be held every week regardless of whether there is a meeting/activity or not. Meeting agendas and core activity preparation will be done at these meetings.
President: leadership, outgoing, outspoken, problem solver, articulate, has presence.

Treasurer: know how to work with money, problem solver, patience!!!, diplomatic, willing to fight/defend LHS rights.

Advertisement Chair: creative!!! See general description.
The person in charge of this position should be creative and have access to MS Publisher. He/she also needs to find helpers to be in charge of some of these things during the semester. These volunteers should be appointed at the beginning of every semester. For upcoming activities EVERY LHS member is responsible with helping out with flyer distribution, but it is the chair's concern to make sure he/she gets the necessary help and motivation from people. The advertisement chair cannot humanly do all this stuff alone and get good grades!
Public Relations Chair: diplomatic, knows how to talk, convincing.
Prospective members (SEEK students, Honors Program students, etc)
Departments and their faculty.
(These two should be signed by the President).
Print media. (Magazines for free subscriptions).
Organizations. (For their newsletters, pens, keep us in touch with their upcoming activities/opportunities).
Corporations. (To sponsor our events).

The person in charge of this position needs to be extremely organized. They also need to get help from the other members to do whatever is necessary to put the event together. This person will not be able to manage all these responsibilities on their own so a group of people interested in organizing activities must be defined at the beginning of each semester to help out. For upcoming activities EVERY LHS member is responsible for helping out with activity organization, but it is the chair's concern to make sure he/she gets the necessary help and motivation from people. The chair will be responsible for distributing responsibilities fairly and as needed.
