Mission

Our main mission as the Hunter College Accounting Society is to assist you with a successful transition into the accounting profession.

Our primary goal is to provide accounting students with as many resources as possible. Read ahead to explore the various resources we offer. You many join these committees at any time by simply sending us an e-mail. Please refer to the e-mail link below. 

Our Events Committee, facilitated by Professor Stephani Mason, organizes several crucial events throughout the year. The committee invites recruiters, representatives from various graduate schools, accounting graduates working in various sectors of the field, the Big Four, and other key individuals. Also, the committee provides Resume and Interview Workshops to get you prepared for the workforce.

Our VITA Committee organizes the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. The committee teaches you how to prepare tax returns, giving you the kind of experience many employers in today’s job market are seeking. Come and join the VITA program as we enter our 20th year of operation. 

We hope to bestow quality service to our members. As a member, we urge you to get involved, make life-long friends, and more importantly gain valuable insight into your future profession. So, if you are considering a career in accounting, please JOIN US!
